The in-house team focused on existing properties as well as developing new experiences for squarespace.com. The team was tasked with conveying the brand's message of sophistication with an edge while also providing frictionless experience for users looking to get started on our platform. We approached this work using a spectrum framework that helped us identify where to lean into expression vs functionality.

Ongoing projects strived to keep squarespace.com fresh and indicative of the evolving brand while ensuring a consistent visual identity is applied across all digital touchpoints.

Spotify

Client /

Worked closely with Spotify to build out an engaging digital ecosystem that allows brands to learn about how they can connect with audiences through audio advertising on the Spotify platform. We were able to identify and resolve points of friction for users throughout the process of building an ad on Spotify, exploring unique engagement scenarios to encourage further progress down the purchase funnel.

Our visual identity was designed with flexibility in mind, enabling easy adaptation for special events and unique content through a modular approach.

Spotify

Client /

Spotify engaged Huge to transform their Culture Next report, which delves into generational behaviors worldwide using Spotify's listening data, into a digital experience. The experience was structured around five topics, each corresponding to a chapter of the report. We designed flexible modules that could be assembled in different sequences

All this while still maintaining a consistent narrative structure. Our team also created immersive data highlights that shared key insights in memorable ways, encouraging users to further explore the content.

Squarespace

Our digital experience for the Super Bowl campaign featuring Zendaya and André 3000 aimed to create a consistent brand experience for our users, emphasizing the conceptual thread between out-of-home advertising and our digital properties. At the top of the page, we highlighted the commercial spot in a cinematic layout with visual themes from film posters and titles.

We included abstract moments throughout the experience to highlight major features in our product, as well as a unique combination of multiple fonts, which served as the anchor of the campaign’s visual identity.

Squarespace

Our in-house team designed and built a campaign site with the goal of repositioning the Squarespace as the leading website builder with a strong focus on design and world-class e-commerce capabilities. The experience was divided into four sections and highlighted latest product releases. We strategically incorporated compelling visuals and brand identity elements to emphasize the company's unique qualities and generate excitement among our audience.

The end result was an engaging and effective campaign site that accurately conveyed Squarespace's strengths and value proposition.

Verizon

Client /

Created an immersive digital experience to educate B2B audiences about Verizon's thriving education initiative. We documented all components and modules for Verizon's internal team to own any similar digital experiences going forward. Each module could be stacked and arranged differently, ensuring that the system could be reliably used in the future.

In the end, our efforts led to increased engagement and time spent on-page per user, compared to previous sites and served as a successful benchmark to measure the performance of other similar experiences in the future.

I’m a designer based in New York City currently working on the Experience Design team at Airbnb. Previously, I worked at Squarespace, leading the design team responsible for the design direction and strategy of squarespace.com.

Before Squarespace, I worked at Huge Inc., a digital design agency based in Brooklyn, where I was able to work with a number of top brands, including Spotify, Verizon, Citrix, and Vanguard.
